Outdoor Sea kayak paddles
On the last Sunday of each month we organise a day paddle for sea kayaks, usually somewhere on the North Wales coast. The precise venue is decided the day before, taking the weather and tides into account. Please contact the coordinator on the day before, for more information and advice on the expected conditions and where to meet. More demanding paddles are also organised regularly - keep an eye out on Facebook or club notices for deatils of moderate / Advanced water outings.

Outdoor evening paddles
Every Monday evening throughout the summer we have outdoor evening trips for beginners or experienced paddlers. We meet to be 'ready and on the water' for 7pm. The venues are decided in advance, but do ring the coordinator to check - especially if conditions are "iffy" or you are unsure of your experience level.

Indoor pool sessions
Throughout the winter we meet at an indoor pool session every Monday evening.
Currently these are at Holyhead Leisure Centre, on Mondays from 20:00 to 21:00. Charge: £7. We can bring our own kayaks to these practise sessions (provided they have been thoroughly cleaned!). Coaching for rolling and self-rescues is available.

Other trips and expeditions
The club regularly organises trips to other parts of the UK and overseas. These can be boat-specific, or 'any-boat' paddles. Recently, trips have been to The Scillies, Pembroke, Lofoten (Norway) and Scotland.

Peer-group paddles
The club is an ideal way of meeting other like-minded paddlers, and alongside our organised meets members often arrange their own paddles on other days. Please note that any peer-organised paddles are NOT covered by the clubs insurance.

Other Social events
The club isn't all abut paddling! We also have BBQ's, bushcraft days and usually an annual junior paddling event. There is also an indoor social calendar of evening talks, quizzes, bring-your-own food buffets, and a 'Posh nosh' Christmas meal.

Coaching / Mentoring
Snowdonia Canoe Club is committed to encouraging safe and enjoyable paddling and whenever possible, will assist members in achieving the standard of paddling they are aiming for. Members are supported in achieving formal seamanship and coaching qualifications but friendly advice and informal mentoring is also on offer - just ask!
